Hello there on this wild and wintery Tuesday day. Is it wild and wintery where you are today? The rain is pelting down on our not-yet-insulated-nor-ceilinged tin roof and the wind is absolutely howling. It’s blizzardy without the snow. Flood alert is on the ready. This is our first time of being flooded in, well, flood potential at least. It’s scary and kind of exciting. Though finding pools of water under the door in the freezing cold dark this morning was not so wonderful.
I thought that a wintery wander around would be perfect for a day such as this. All of the beauty and wildness that is winter, I absolutely love! I’m a cold loving gal, though today I’m in need of a little bit of warm fire glow and cosy slippers to keep away the chill of the wild, wild outside. So all of these images are perfectly winter in some way or another but everyone of them offers a little rest from the wild and warmth from the winteryness. Some images are of the northern hemisphere winters, which of course, may have a little tizz of Christmas. But for me, that makes it all the more cosy and lovely on a wild, wintery day like today.

and candles,
and toasty warm fires,
and lovely glowing lights,
and snuggly rugs,
and soft fluffy cushions,
and of course....warm cups of tea!

Lovely Winter images. The blankets, the pine cones, the tea cosy... all just gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of Winter, but there are certain things that I absolutely adore about this season.
Hope the rain has subsided a bit for you... no insulation and water under the door doesn't sound fun.

These images scream cosy and snug. The cooler months are definitely my most favourite. I love being rugged up, drinking hot chocolate, staying indoors. Open fires, playing in the snow, comfort food...ah bliss.
