In Loving Memory of Elijah Rainbow Fisher

As I type this blog post there is a blogging friend of mine  who is in the absolute depths of despair and grief. Grief beyond comprehension.

I can not imagine how she must be feeling right now. So many thoughts and feelings come to mind, amidst the tears and sadness, but I’m certain that none of them are anywhere near the raw, open wound of emotion that she must be feeling at  this time.

My heart goes out to her and her beautiful family. My prayers are with each one of them.

In memory of your precious one – little Elijah Rainbow Fisher.

Words are scarce right now.

My heart just hurts for them.

I have so many questions, as do others.

I am praying for them and can't imagine the burden.

Tragedy like this touches us all. Without faith it must be a huge emptiness as time stands still and a nightmare threatens to consume. There are so many whys and so many thoughts. One day at a time. It's all we get. Be thankful for that. Grief has it's own ways of being, and love heals where nothing else can. I cannot know the pain and confusion and loss. I can imagine the aching filling breasts, the heart so heavy, the arms filled with precious little girls but missing precious little Elijah Rainbow. Missing the life she once knew. Never to be the same. Every mother's heart breaks for you now Lauren, many tears bathe your wounds, many lives are touched and changed because of Elijah and because of you. Your courage inspires us. Your tragedy enfolds us. We love you Lauren and may the grace of Almighty God comfort you and your beautiful girls and everyone who loves you at this very sad, sad time. Fly with the angels Elijah Rainbow, you'll never be forgotten <3

Lynn, so beautifully put. My heart has broken for Lauren and her girls...and for David too. My prayers are for Lauren, may the unimaginable burden that is hers be shared by those that have been touched by the life of Elijah.

Yes, wonderful words from both of you.

I think of the verse in Jeremiah that says, "O Lord, thou knowest."

As all our thoughts, tears, and prayers go out, only the Lord truly knows.
