Most people who know me, even just a little bit, would know that I’m a sticky beak, especially when it comes to people’s nests. On my daily walks around town I’ve been known to crane my neck, spasm-causing style, trying to get a peak inside the houses that I fall in love with around about the place. Sometimes I might be found peering over a fence to get a better look at someone’s garden. I’m the first one to ask if I can get a look through a freshly renno’ed or built house. I’m always asking my friends to take photos of people ’s houses that I know I’d like. Ones that they happen to be visiting for a kids party or dinner arrangement. One particular friend cringes when she tells me that her kids are going to a party where the house is one I might really like because I always demand she takes her camera and gets some snaps especially for me. But she won’t do it. Not ever. And it’s annoying that she won’t. And I know that I’m annoying.
And I’m itching to write a book. A book about other people’s nests. What an excuse to sticky beak around that will be. But for now, I’m going to have my little sticky beaky moments here, on my blog. I’ve been lucky enough to have some lovely fellow bloggers and feather and nesters agree to allow me {and you!!!} to have a nosey around and chat about their own personal nests. I’m so excited! I’ve got some lovely nests in store for us all, lucky ducks we are indeed.
So this little space is going to be called The Guest Nest. It will feature one nest and interviewy type chat each….well, I haven’t yet decided how often it will take place. I was thinking once a month but if I can get a few more nesters to volunteer themselves as Guest Nesters then I may be able to feature it a little more often.
Stay tuned because the first Guest Nest is just about ready to roll and I think a lot of you will be very familiar with this guest of mine and her lovely, lovely blog. Hmmmm, to give you a clue or not?
Alright, here’s a clue….she’s probably all curled up in a nice cosy inside place right now, telling a story or two.
That’s a pretty good clue. Do you know who my first ever Guest Nester is going to be?
You’ll have to wait and see {thanks to Telstra who have mucked up my internet access for a day or so and hopefully not a moment more!!!}.

What a great idea. I'm a self-confessed sticky beak too. I love looking at how people live and what makes their house a home.
