Hello again!
Have you got yourself comfy and ready yet?
Tea & Toast time – I have a very daggy blue mug with me {yes, I am in the throes of packing!} and my ham, cheese and pineapple toasted sandwich is by my side. Yum, yum!
Tea & Toast today is all about typewriters. Thanks to the lovely Tammi over at little poppa {don’t you love her blog header?}.
She suggested this Tea & Toast drool fest today and I couldn’t be more happy. I absolutely love vintage typewriters! Love, love, love them!
and here’s another lovely blogger who uses typewriter’s in her blog
The lovely Gill from InkPaperPen
There’s something so cosy and lovely about an old typewriter and oh, that gorgeous sound of the tap, tap, tapping away of the keys! Oh, to write a book on an old typewriter! I would so love listening to myself type;)
Alright, well let’s get on with our typewriter journey… there’s a lot of loveliness in store, I promise…
Here we go…
Do you know how many different colours vintage typewriter’s came in? Lots!

via {this one’s for you, Rae xx}

And what about typewriter font…it has to be my favourite!

And did you know that typewriter ribbon came in these delicious little tins? So lovely!

Typewriter keys look so metally and industrial and lovely, don’t you think?

And did you know that some people use the old keys to make cool stuff {I’m sure the typewriter’s they get these from are beyond repair…at least I’m hoping…}
And then other clever crafty people make stuff using the typewriter theme…

Next, let’s drool over typewriter’s as part of nesty decor. I’m gathering ideas for my own nest, I am.

How about typewriter’s in the garden?

Or as a table decoration…

via {OK, maybe this is not a table but it decorates this jetty just as well, don’t you think?}
And I just love these next 2 images…don’t you?

Well, I so hope that you enjoyed that Tea & Toast typewriter fest as much as I did.
See you next Tea & Toast.
Happy Tuesday!
Kim xx
PS If you’ve got a Tea & Toast idea please let me know. I’m always after extra inspiration and drool ideas.

Oh Kim...this is such a drool worthy post :) I may have to start a Pinterest board to PIN all these glorious pictures.
I too love the sound of typewriter keys tapping away...it's quite therapeutic actually and such a shame that computers have taken over, and don't even get me started on the use of typewriters for party props or home decor - LOVE!
That old sewing machine in one of the pics is rather grand too :)
Thanks for the mention sweet.
