Happy Mother’s Day

My life has been filled to over-flowing with beautiful mothers. Mothers who have had an everlasting impact on me and I will be forever grateful to them for being in my life and so very, very thankful to God for allowing me to be a part of their lives.

Firstly, of course, Happy Mother’s Day to my own beautiful mum. You were the most wonderful mum I could have ever wished for and although I feel a sense of longing for more time with you I am so very thankful for the 18 years that I was blessed with. You gave me such a beautiful childhood and I wish I could be more like you. Love you forever, Mum xxxxx

To my lovely, lovely Nan. My mum’s mum. Happy Mother’s Day. You have always been there for me. We have had such a special bond from the moment I was born, where we lived in the flat under your house at Garden Street. I am ever thankful for that wonderful bond because without my mum around you have been the next best thing for me. Love you, Nan xxxx

To the most precious, precious Grandma anyone could have. My Dad’s mum. Happy Mother’s Day. Again, you have been that grandparent who, like Nan, has been with me always. You were always interested in me and loved me for who I am. You were one of my biggest {and probably my only!} fan. I grieve for you now, with all of my heart. The dementia has now fully embraced you and you seem a mere shell of yourself. I feel like you’re still there, somewhere inside, though and I hope that you know that I love you so very, very much. xx

To my lovely step-mum, Joanne, Happy Mother’s Day. In those early years we certainly went through our ups and downs as we all adjusted to a new blended life. It was difficult times for us all but especially for you as you went from being a single mum of one 4 year old daughter to the step-mum of 2 grieving 8 year olds, grown up, fiery and grieving daughter and a wayward, almost grown up grieving son and wife to a man who, not too long before, had lost his wife of 19 years. I’m so sorry for some of the grief I would’ve put you through in those early and extremely trying years. But I want you to know that you have been such a blessing in my life and especially the life of my Dad who was absolutely shattered after the mum’s death. Thank you, Joanne. I will always be grateful for you…always xxIMG_0899

To my lovely mother-in-law, Frances and the maternal Nan of my beauty boy, Happy Mother’s Day. From the moment we met you embraced me and took me in to your family. I was so young when we first met and had only recently lost my own mum.  You welcomed me into your life and embraced me as a daughter-in-law. You treasure your children so very much, all 7 of them! I wish we could see you more often but I want you to know that you are always in my thoughts and my heart and I am so thankful to you for all that you have been over the past 20 years of my life. You are treasured more than you could know xx

And I am. Blessed to be called mum. Blessed to be mum of Lewi. Blessed to have had the influences of all of these beautiful mothers in my life. Blessed.

Happy Mothers Day to all of you who are blessed to be called mum.

As I type, I'm swallowing the big lump in my throat and squinting my eyes to make the tingling in my nose [which happens when I'm trying not to cry] go away.

This is a truly beautiful tribute to all of your Mother Hearts and I thank you for sharing it.

A warm and loving hug to you special lady - I hope you are spoilt to within an inch of your life with cuddles, giggles and everything else that makes your heart sing.

xxx Felicity

Happy Mother's Day to a very special person. I have been greatly blessed in sharing a part of your life watching you grow and mature into the person you are. What a joy to have had my life touched by your beautiful mom and your grandmom (my very much loved and special friend Kath).

What a tremedous tribute. which has been written from the heart, to those special people who you hold so dear to you.

May God watch over you as you continue your walk as a mom to your own special guy, Lewi.

Blessings,

Sue
