For a long time now I’ve been wanting to take part in the lovely Maxabella loves “This week I’m grateful for…” fun. Finally I’m joining in and it feels great to be starting on Maxabella’s 100th week of Gratefuls.{Congratulations, to you Maxabella!}
So, this week I’m grateful for….surprise, surprise…
AUTUMN!!!!

Anyone who knows me would know how much I whinge about hot weather and summer. I am a big whinger and I can’t stand being hot so I basically don’t stop whinging from around November/December until now.
But then the lovely March arrives and my whinging diminishes. I start feeling much more relaxed and peaceful towards the weather. I don’t curse the sun quite so much and I feel the invigorating crispness that is in the air more often, than not. I start going over board about how wonderful the weather is now and how fantastic autumn is and oh, how I love this time of year. I go from being the ultimate whinger to the ultimate annoying positive weather commentator. And if there so happens to be rain about or even a hint of grey cloud, I’m all over it with excitement and mania…looks like it’s going to rain. It’s got to rain – look at those clouds. Ohhhh, isn’t the rain lovely. I love this rain and cooler weather! Bla, bla, bla…boring but oh I am so very fulfilled and happy in this cooler, autumny weather.
Now, if it would just rain…
Happy autumn! {for the 56th time in under 2 weeks}

Meanwhile *I* was grateful for the 30C weather we had down here today and the unexpected afternoon at the beach! (can't get enough of summer...even in march!!)

I'm kind of an all weather girl myself but I'm hearing you about autumn, it's the loveliest season. Your blog is pretty lovely too, it's a really sweet place to visit. see you again, xo
Personally, I am not a fan of autumn, but a picture like yours really makes me appreciate it more.
What a wonderful picture, Kim. It just feels so wonderfully Autumnal that I can't hardly stand it! I adore Autumn and Spring. The turning seasons. The moderate, easy-going seasons.
So happy to see you here today!!! x
I like all seasons but I do prefer spring and autumn for sunny crisp days.
Love your grateful...thanks for joining in .
Thank you guys:) It's funny isn't it, how the seasons evoke debate. Love it! xx
How pretty is that picture! I feel calmer just looking at it.
I am with you - haaaaaate the heat and adore Autumn. In fact, March/April in Melbourne is my favourite time of year. It all of a sudden just turns a corner and is cooler in the morning (though it was still TOO hot yesterday here! grumble...)
