I have a new love in my life. Oh my, what a lovely, lovely, lovely love.
OK, well it's an absolutely superficial and indulgent love but...love no less.
It's called Going Going Green. My friends, David and Melinda have been telling me about this amazing shop in Melbourne for awhile now. But it wasn't until the other day, when I realised that a table they have, which I really, really love, was purchased from this shop, that I upped the anti and had a look online for myself. What a treat!
This shop is a gem. It's filled with salvage-look alike pieces of furniture and other lovely nesty things that have been made to look old or have actually been repurposed from old timbers and materials.
I could not believe that the table of my dreams is still available! So I've whipped the shop off an email to request prices and proportions and I'm looking forward to their response.
Going Going Green is an inner city nursery but it seems that it's far, far more than that. It's filled with outdoor and indoor furniture, pots and urns and other lovely feathering necessities. You can find the store at: 200 Burwood Road, HAWTHORN, 3122 in Melbourne.
Here's a little peak at my wish list from Going Going Green. 1st of March is not too far away now....hint hint.

I LOVE this table. I know it's a little difficult to see but the timber on the top is out of this world. It is so rustic and lovely and is exactly what I have been wanting. Something that's not so precious and scratch able. Something we can throw a hot cup of tea on and nothing happens. Something we can draw at without freaking out that the table will end up with tiny little house plans and scary shark sketches dotted all over it. David thinks it's had an acid bath and that it's repurposed old timber. The table below is the same but in orange. It's the table that David and Melinda have. Those benches to match are so lovely too.

I love the urban rusticness of this. The wheels, the metal, the rustic timber. Lovely!

And I love this for the exact same reasons. It's got such an old look about it. Imagine these sitting alongside an old timber bench in the kitchen. So nice.

And these are lovely too. I'm so loving metal at the moment.

See that green metal, fallen over chair there. I want! Those around that first image white table in my nest...so lovely.

A hanging cane basket chair. Cute!

Love this bookshelf. Love the chipped paint. Love the eclectic backing timber used. It looks so authentic. Very tastefully built.

I am partial to letters of any kind. This one is extra nice and with the metal case...yum.

And last but definitely not least, the piece de resistance ~ the arbour/conservatory palace! Can't wait to see this at your place, David and Melinda. Isn't this amazing!
What did you think of Going Going Green?
I'm definitely in love x

You've just decorated the "cafe side" of our shop!
I think these are beautiful pieces. Love the table you've chosen in the first pic. Worn metal and timber, it's just perfect isn't it? Have a lovely weekend!
Great, Mer. Can't wait to see it all in the shop! LOL
