Have you got the latest copy of Sustain magazine? Well, if you don't, all you have to do {if you live on the Far South Coast or Monaro area} is rush down to your nearest reputable local shop and grab a free copy.{I really feel this magazine should have a cost to it ~ it's really worth it!} If you don't live locally you can buy yourself a subscription to it and have it delivered straight to your door.
So what's it about? Well, it's a sustainability journal for Australian communities and it focuses on our local Bega Valley and a little bit beyond. I personally think it's way more than a journal and I'm so hoping it will continue to go that way. It really does have 'Country Style with a sustainability twist' potential! I'm loving it and I have to say that meeting and being friends with {you'll see who in a moment} some of the hard working, behind the scenes people who make this magazine happen, has made me even more committed to the promotion of this magazine.
And, I'm possibly a little biased towards this particular edition of Sustain, being the "Home' edition and all, because... I have 2 little segments in it. Yah! One is a homeschooling article and the other is a little staging fun that Robyn {the lovely editor and fantastically talented photographer} and I had a couple of months back, here at the purple nest. I did a piece on pre-loved treasures and using them in the home. We also borrowed some lovely bits and pieces from Kim and Allan at Artizantique, which they so generously allowed me to choose at will and bring home to become apart of the styling shoot. The end result, I think, is lovely and so thanks to Robyn and Allan and Kim for helping to make these segments turn out so beautifully. It was such fun.
Here's a little peak ...
{This is my favourite photo!}
Hey, now back to the friend who is now part of the Sustain team. it's none other than...dadadadadadadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....
Lynda! That's who!
And she's the new Advertising Sales Manager! Woo hoo! I can tell you that she has worked non-stop at this job since taking it on only a little while ago. She's perfect for the job and I can see the magazine sailing through the skies with her passion and vision and sheer determined, never-give-up nature.
So go on, grab yourself a copy of Sustain or have a look online and enjoy a great read from a great magazine, destined for good things, I feel.

Fantastic Kim. There are usually some here in Moruya, so tomorrow I'm off to get one. While I'm there I'm going to get a Country Style Calender. I have subscribed to the mag and should have my free diary soon.
