This is where you'll find all of Lewi's artworks, drawings, sketches, crafty stuff...anything that is an arty thing that Lewi has created.
This gorgeous journal was made for Lewi for his 11th birthday by my lovely friend, Lynda. It's a blank paged notebook covered in a vintage birdy tea towel. It has a funky zipper all around it to help protect the precious art work that lies within it's pages. There's also a little fabric pencil holder on the front to keep a pencil handy at all times. Lewi absolutely loves it!
He has always got a pencil in his hand. It's been this way since he was 3 or 4. He draws so much I can't believe he doesn't yet have callous' on his fingers! It's a form of expression for him. Whenever he feels inspired or excited or even angry or sad he goes to his drawing table, grabs a sharpener and grinds away the pencil until it's sharp and ready for action. Then it's head down, pencil to paper, as he starts to pour his emotions and inspiration onto the page. I'm so happy for him that he has such a wonderfully creative and comforting outlet that is also his passion and drive.
I'm excited about having a place here on my blog to share his lovely creations with you.

December 2010 These are a series of comic characters that Lew has been working on. He's been adding to them every day. He's really into comic creating at the moment.
December 2010 These characters are based on The Samurai Kids Owl Ninja book that we've been reading lately. One is Lew and the other is Jacob. Each one has an animal totem connected to it as well.
December 2010 Lewi's been drawing lots of stick figure scenes lately. Some are Star Warsy/Jedi type scenes others are more like this violent little number. They all have some sort of violence in them. This is a more 'tame' one that I thought would be blog appropriate;)
December 2010. Stick figure weapons and what the weapons can do.
