OK, well Christmas tree number 1 is dead! I didn't put enough water in the bucket and so it quickly shrivelled up, dropped most of it's needles and died.
Off we snuck again, this time out of town, to nab another branch or two from a much in need of pruning pine tree {actually they are she oaks, so not really the same but close enough}.
Christmas tree number 2 is standing up OK. It's bucket of water is half full and I have regularly been topping it up this time.
Let's hope this one makes it to Christmas Day!
