Lovely Gift Wrapping

I know there may seem to be a preoccupation here on my blog, around all of the 'not so important' Christmassy things, at the moment. For an interior obsessed and nostalgic person though, Christmas is an absolute feast for the senses. I just love this time of year for many, many reasons and I will share, in an up and  coming post, my thoughts on Christianity and Christmas, but for now I am loving the decorating themes of Christmas that are out there in this lovely, tiny world {thanks to cyber space} and I'm loving sharing them here on my blog.

I feel like the chapters of my book are coming together right before my eyes. I'm conjuring up lots of  ideas for my future housey/gardeny books. My latest ideas include celebration sparkle. I digress...

Back to the wrapping thing. I love thinking up new ideas for wrapping Christmas presents each year. Last year I used plain brown paper and red ribbon. It looked nice and simple and that theme continued throughout the year for birthday gift wrapping. This year I'm going to use a mix of newspaper and brown paper with brown string. I'd like to do some funky sort of gift cards or stencilling too but I'm not sure if I'm all that creative. Trouble is, my head ideas are so much better than what I actually end up with in reality. I wish that wasn't so.

The photos below are not like mine at all. They are gorgeous creations and I love each one of them. Enjoy!

I don't think that will be the last post I do on Christmas wrapping...there's so many lovely ideas out there.

What are you wrapping your gifts in this year?
