Can you spot the treasure that I have been lucky enough to score {thank you to the lovely head honcho of the Bega Woolies development x ~ one positive in the huge list of negatives regarding this cyclone aftermath development}?
I'd say the sign; except it only says "CHERY" not (what I assume it was) "BUTCHERY". Hmmm, I still say the sign; maybe you could art it up and turn it into "CHERrY"?
Yep, you got it, AJ! It is the ButCHERY sign. It's so darn heavy too. I was hoping to put it on a wall inside but I don't think i've got a structure strong enough to hold it. For now it may need to dwell outside somewhere. But I love it. I love that it says CHERY. I'm madly investigating the butchery that must have been in that spot in the 50's and/or 60's. I know someone who will know...must ask him.

The only thing I can see is... the pavers?
They'd be nice too, Jamie, but unfortunately they are the only thing in teh photo (virtually) that remain;)
I'll be sending a blog post as soon as I get it in my hot little hands.

I think it's beautiful! I LOVE old signage.
Maybe you could suspend it from the roofing beams close to a wall? That'd be where they'd be strongest (having extra support from the wall beams too.)
I can't wait to see what you do with is and yes, to know it's history would be wonderful!
