Home Ed Week begins....TODAY! YAH! From the 14th to the 20th of November, 2010, home schoolers all around Australia will be celebrating home education in one way or another.
What a privilege it is to be able to home school {unschool} my gorgy boy. I love the diversity in the community that we live - lots of educational choices. I'm so thankful that I fell over unschooling when I did {before Lewi was of school age} and that we have been able to continue on this wonderful journey together. Watching Lewi grow and learn and live has been an absolute blessing in my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world or a purple nest and garden. It is so the best decision we have ever made!
We are doubly blessed to have such a wonderful natural learners group that we are a part of locally. They are a wonderful bunch of parents and kids and offer such support and great company, always.
So in the true spirit of Home Education Week I aim to blog each day about home schooling/unschooling in some way. If you want to know how our Bega Valley Natural Learners group is celebrating Home Ed Week then please read on...and pass it on....;)
Happy Home Education Week to all you home schoolers out there xxx
*****************************************************Our local Bega Valley Natural Learners group have a few things happening this week. We are putting ads in the local newspapers; we're being interviewed by the local ABC radio; we're having a library display at the Bega Library and we're celebrating together with a Games Day next Tuesday the 16th of November down at the Bega Valley Fields at 10:30am for those of you who would like to join in the fun!.
There'll be lots of fun to be had so bring along some morning tea and a picnic lunch and maybe a game to share {if you have one}.
So come along and share in the fun. We'd love to meet you!
