Friday At The Markets

Strategy No# 4:
september 2010 023
{Urgh!! My writing is appalling!!!!!}
 september 2010 024

FREE was my strategy for this week's Bega Markets. That word FREE certainly gets heads turning.  I did notice heads turning and people stopping to read my sign this time. I've not noticed them doing that as much in the past. Hopefully that's a good sign? {no pun intended} I met a lovely lady who is building a house locally and wanted some ideas for future colours and layouts etc. And the lovely Myoung stopped by to take my "Know Your Style" quiz. Thanks, Myoung:) I think this is the most interaction I've had so far.
Do I persist with the markets? Does Bega need and want my sort of interior decorating? These are the questions I've been asking myself each Friday fortnight. When the market is over and we've packed away all of our things and I'm exhausted from market fever {and being awake since 1:30am!}, I sit and think {or cook and think} about the day and what I could've done better. I'm always left with those two, pertinent queries ~ Do I persist with the markets? Does Bega need and want my sort of interior decorating?
I guess only time will tell. I was hoping to promote a more ethical, down-to-earth kind of interior decorating consultancy where those without loads of money can still afford the luxury of an interior freak like me to  chat with and discuss their nesty concerns. As beautiful as it is down in this neck of the woods, people's priorities are much, much bigger than spending their hard earned dollars on the latest dining room setting. Helping people rearrange what they already have; making the most of people's nests; preparing nests for sale; helping people freshen and liven up a rental property plus, of course, all of the other nesty and feathery sorts of decorating jobs {colour consults, furniture selection, renovation help, kitchen and bathroom design etc}. That's what I love to do. Oh, and of course, write! I love blabbing on about interiors, nests and gardens.
So how to tie it all together and make this all into some sort of real business? Hmmm...I'm still left with many questions and ideas and ponderings. What to do???????????
Ok, enough of that for a minnie. Off me now and onto some lovely market stall holders goods....

That topic came up at the conference and sounded very inspirational, so they ran a mini workshop on creating an income when unschooling and working from home etc... sorry I didnt make it to that, must have clashed with another that I went to.

All I can say is follow your passion/heart and 'Let go and let God'

Thanks, Julie. That's fantastic feedback:) That would've been a great topic to have gone to. Do you know who ran it? I may be able to contact them and pick their brains a little:) xx
