Last Tuesday our Natural Learners group met down at Pambula Wetlands for a walk/ride to Oaklands, and back.
We had fun walking and riding while spotting bird life here and there. A few of us (me being one of them) got wet feet crossing the raging river...OK...it was abit of water over the path but it was flood water;)
The kids had lots of fun sipping milkshakes and nibbling muffins and yo-yos over at Oaklands. Lew eyed off the bonsai plants in the nursery. He's desperate to own a bonsai tree.
The lovely girl at the Animal Petting barn brought the animals out for us to look at and hold.
Mack and Ptolemy holding the bunnies
Luca, Anise and Myoung Yas holding a cute puppy
Perdie holding a bunny (David - she wants a bunny not a rat! :) )
Lewi holding a puppy
I couldn't resist taking a photo, or two, of a lovely building...
and a lovely wooden gate.
A very friendly, hungry pig!

The camels...a little freaky as one of them bites and I couldn't remember which one...One of them also spits, as Bruce found out. I couldn't stop laughing at poor Bruce's mishap...sorry, Bruce!
Beautiful!
Lewi the camel feeder;)
After we'd finished at Oaklands we headed back over to the Wetlands path and made our way back to our little hang out in a lovely clearing amongst the trees. The kids had fun running around and trading Pokémon cards (for a change LOL).
As usual we headed home after a fun day, exhausted but content.
