This morning (29th June, 2010) it is freezing in the Bega Valley - literally!
I'm always up early - anywhere from 4am onwards. I know, it's freaky but I actually enjoy the quiet of those early hours. Plus I'm not doing it on purpose, my brain just wakes up early;)
I love this time of day. Bega is still asleep and I feel like I own the place. The garden, early in the morning, is a special place to be in. It's so still and tranquil. Normally though, at this time in the morning, I'm sitting at my computer, by the fire, typing and blogging away. I'm definitely never out in the frosty air. This morning though I felt the need to capture a little bit of the winter love.
I trudged out in my pink dressing gown and crocs - a sight to be hold - clicking away at the frost bitten plants in my vegie patch. Once again, I wish I had some photographic skills. It's hard to capture the strength of this morning's frost (the biggest we've had this winter, so far). I tried.
Here are some snaps I took a few minutes ago. No self-respecting tomato could survive this one...
A wild beast in the frosty glades....
