Autumn in Bega

Autumn in Bega is beautiful! The weather is perfect and the deciduous trees are plentiful. The town comes to life with autumn foliage and it is the perfect time to go for long walks around the streets looking at the golds and reds and oranges that glitz up the place.

Here's a little taste of autumn where I love during my favourite time of year.

A Japanese maple in my garden. This year is it's first winter up at the shed. It used to live down on the swamp but it wasn't thriving and I couldn't see it well enough so I brought it up closer to the house. It's certainly starting to get with the program...such a pretty flare of red. I need to add more red autumn colour to my garden for next autumn.

Some leafy autumn colour in my garden... crab apple.

Down near the Bega lagoon...our favourite place to walk in Autumn. The leaves are thick and huge. We love looking for the biggest leaf we can possibly find.
